“KVERTUS and KRUK united for victory
On August 25, 2023, KVERTUS, a Ukrainian manufacturer of anti-drone guns and equipment for comprehensive protection against UAVs, and the KRUK UAV Operator Training Center signed a cooperation agreement to enhance Ukraine’s defense capabilities, train civilians, and promote the development of the UAV advocacy movement.
According to the cooperation agreement, the main goal is to combine the efforts of the Ukrainian manufacturer of anti-drone guns and the KRUK Training Center, aimed at increasing Ukraine’s defense capabilities, promoting the readiness of citizens for national resistance and living conditions in combat areas, volunteers of territorial communities and military personnel (members of military formations established in accordance with the legislation of Ukraine) to perform territorial defense tasks, protect the homeland and repel armed aggression.
Under the terms of the partnership, KVERTUS will provide the Center’s instructors with its products to help future UAV operators learn to counter drones and fly under electronic warfare, as well as consulting assistance in developing training programs in electronic intelligence and electronic warfare.
Such cooperation is not only unique for Ukraine, but also extremely important, as drone operators will be able to effectively learn to fly in the face of EW, which will be a significant advantage in real-world combat. Such measures are vital, as today most inexperienced drone operators improve their skills in combat, which poses a great threat to their lives.
In addition, within the framework of the cooperation, KVERTUS and the KRUK UAV Operator Training Center have committed to regular exchange of relevant information and materials, which will not only develop the practical skills of drone operators, but also improve the theoretical basis for the technological development of the unmanned aerial vehicle industry.
The agreement on the equipment transfer was signed by Yaroslav Filimonov, Director of KVERTUS, Viktor Taran, Head of the Kruk Center, and the commander of the DGV Training Center for Comprehensive Training of Volunteers of the Kyiv Legion Obolon. Kyiv “Legion Obolon” Gennadiy Sintsov. On September 19, 2023, a Memorandum of Cooperation will be signed, which will approve the procedure for cooperation and set specific goals for the parties.
